When it comes to the number of acronyms attached to her name, Elena Gosse has many of us beaten hands down and while the CEO of AIS Water is proud of every title she has, there is one which holds a special place in her heart - being a member of the QUT Alumni.
Ms Gosse, who is also an AICD Graducate, a JP and an outstandingly successful Dancing CEO fundraiser, has been named on QUT's 2021 Outstanding Alumni Awards list.

Amid mounting concerns over the use of public space during the Coronavirus crisis, Elena Gosse has advised that swimmers can rest easy when it comes to concerns surrounding COVID-19 and swimming pool water. With COVID-19 an airborne virus which is unlikely to spread through water, Gosse emphasised that providing pool water is properly disinfected, swimming remains safe.

Elena Gosse was born to a middle-class family as one of three children in Volgograd (former Stalingrad) in the USSR. She grew up in a culture which did not value female empowerment – and lived in an abusive family where her late father ruled the family home with violence and fear, fuelled by alcohol.
